The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Tuesday, October 9th , 2012 of Kuen (nee Chiu) Lo of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Pun Yu, China, aged 88 years. Kuen was born on September 9th ,1924 in Pun Yu, China to her late parents Sou-Hong and Yiu-Lee Chiu. Beloved wife of the late Hi Lo and loving mother of Edith (Ping-Sum) Li, Mable (Chiu-Tsan) Liu of Hong Kong, Helena (Stephen) Poon of Toronto, ON., Beatrice (Thomas) Chan of San Francisco, U.S.A., Josephine (Cheuk-Man) Ma and Chi-Ping (Hui-Xia) Lo of Summerside, P.E.I. Also lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren: Alex, Chris, Kin-Kwong, Alice, Lokki, Mike, Jennifer, Alice, Tiffany, Stephanie, Erika, Emily, great granddaughter Isabella and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Ng-Mui Chiu of Pun Yu, China. Kuen was predeceased by her son Chung-Wah Lo and daughter-in-law Hau-Kwan To Lo. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, October 12th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m.
Interment to take place at People’s Cemetery, Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.
