EKDAHL: Harold Arthur Ekdahl of Swift Current passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct 9,2012 at the Swift Current Care Center at the age of 78. Harold was born on the family farm near Hallonquist, SK, the eldest of six children born to Arthur and Allice Ekdahl. He resided in Swift Current since the age of eight and attended Elmwood and Ashley Park Schools. Harold is survived by three brothers Ernie of Swift Current, Terry of Nepean, ON and Joe of Sydney, BC, and many cousins and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Janice, and brother Dennis. Harold worked at several different jobs before moving to Alberta where he spent many years laying floor covering with his brother Dennis. After his retirement, he returned and took up residence in the family home. where he enjoyed feeding the birds, and squirrels,and having coffee with the boys at the mall. Harold spent the last year of his life in the Herbert Integrated Care Centre and the Swift Current Care Center. At Harold's request there will be no funeral service. His Cremated remains will be interned at a later date. Harold will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
