Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 7 East at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on October 6th, 2012. Barbara had a long history of inllness but also the strength and determination to keep going. She was cared for and loved deeply by her family and friends. Left to mourn are her husband of 35 years Harvey Hollett, sons Christopher (wife Julie) and Joshua (wife Natasha). Also left to mourn are her sisters Joan Fiander, Doris Burlotte, brother Walter Fiander (wife Gay), brother-in-law John Brown; mother-in-law Mildred Hollett and the extended Hollett and Fiander families.

Barbara was predeceased by sisters Thelma and Ellen as well as her parents Etta and Maxwell.
Donations can be made to the Arthritis Society in lieu of flowers. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Harry Templeman, was held at the United Church, Musgravetown on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral home, Random Island.
