Ralph Wilton Kaiser, a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.
Born in Sydney on Jan. 31, 1933, he was the son of the late Marshall and Annie (MacDonald) Kaiser.
Ralph was employed as an insurance adjuster with Co-operators and went on to work at Kaisers Locksmith with his father. He was a member of the Kinsmen, K40 and the Dobson Yacht Club, Westmount. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and the bungalow on the Mira.
Surviving are his daughter, Debbie (Sheldon) Murphy, East Bay; son, Gary (Dorothy), Westmount; brothers, Wilfred (Yvonne), Sydney, Jake, Kingston, Ont., and John (Muriel), Baddeck; grandchildren, Shane (Nancy) Kaiser, Megan (Shaun) Confiant, Ryan (Camilla) Murphy and Jeanine Murphy, whom he loved dearly; six great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Kaiser, Baddeck.
Ralph was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Ruth (Rudderham) Kaiser; brother, Marshall Jr. and sister-in-law, Cammie Kaiser.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday 1 p.m., with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the MS Society.
We would like to thank the staff of Irish Cove for the excellent care shown to our dad during his stay at Harbourstone.
