Please join us on Saturday, Oct. 20, to celebrate the life of our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, June Scantlebury. As per Mom’s wishes, there will be an opportunity to greet the family at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Richmond Street, Charlottetown and a reception immediately afterward in the church hall.
Mom’s greatest joy was her family and in lieu of flowers we encourage anyone wishing so to make donations to an educational fund she has established for her two beloved great-grandchildren. Donations can be made through Hennessey Funeral Home.
We were blessed to have this kind, generous woman as our family’s backbone, our glue, the centre of our universe. Her grandchildren consider her their role model and she taught many what it meant to love and be loved.
She will be sorely missed by husband, George; son, Jim; daughters, Joanne and Jennifer; sons-in-law, Brian, Rejean and Waldo; grandchildren, Meghan (Jason), Ryan, Gabriel and Simone; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Keeley; sisters, Edna Mae, Deanna, Carol and Marilyn; brothers-in-law, Reg, Dave and Bob; as well numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She has joined her parents, Edna and Chester Robertson, and sister, Claudia.
Completion of arrangements has been entrusted to the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home.
