Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Beach Grove Home on Monday, October 22, 2012 of Mr. Joe Murphy of Charlottetown in his 89th year.
Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Henry) Murphy and dear father of Ambyr (Tom) Sparling of Charlottetown, Alan (Lisa) of Oyster Bed and Paul (Michelle) of St. Ann's. Loving Poppy of grandchildren Kara Dawn Acorn (Jamie), Kyle Donovan, Morgan Murphy, Joelle Murphy; and great-grandchildren Caleb and Caseon Acorn.
Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Debbie; his parents, John and Etta (Cheverie) Murphy; his brothers, Jack, Bill, Earl and George.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until 9:45 on Wednesday, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
