Elizabeth Joyce "Betty" Wynn

Wynn, Elizabeth Joyce “Betty”, 86, Debert, and formerly of Hilden passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Debert Court, Debert. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Helen (Wark) Lockhart. Betty was a former member of the Hilden United Church, Hilden. She worked at Standfields Ltd. for many years. She also spent many years entertaining Nova Scotia with her band “Mrs. Tuckers Fiddlers and Friends”.
Betty is survived by her son Terry (Anna); sister Lillian MacKay; nieces Jill (Jim) McMullen, Darlene (Paul) Shaw; Great Niece Michelle Vacheresse; nephew David Wynn (Lynn); great-nephew Jay Shaw; half-sisters Betty Lou Welland (Ron), Myrna Murphy (Dennis), Regina Cunningham (Greg); half-brother Gary Lockhart (Caroline), and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Edward Wynn.
No visitation by family request. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday October 30th at 2 pm in the Hilden Cemetery, Hilden with Rev. Ian Harrison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation.
