Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer on October 24, 2012, Clarence (Moe) Gilbert Best, age, 52. Left with cherished memories, the love of his life and best friend; his wife of 23 years, Wavey (nee Elms); and the light of his life, his daughter, Sharissa. Left to mourn their loss; his mother Elizabeth Best; his brothers: Hubert (Marilyn) and Fred (Cathy); his sister, Wanda (Keith); parents-in-law: Dyson and Vida Elms; brothers-in-law: Randy (Linda), Kerry (Melissa) and a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family. Moe touched the lives of many people and left behind to cherish his memory a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his father, Frederick Michael (Mickey) Best and four infant brothers. A long-time employee of the Anglican Cemetery, Moe was a man with a big heart. He will be fondly remembered for his bright, white smile and lightheartedness. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday, October 25 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday, October 26 from 2 - 9 p.m. A service to celebrate Moe’s life will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
