DOLAN, MARIE VIRGINIA - Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family on October 24, 2012, Mrs. Marie Virginia (Coleman) Dolan wife of Mr. John L. Dolan of Fairhaven, NB. Born at Needham, MA on May 10, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Mildred (Lambert) Coleman. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband John, she is survived by her children; Susan (Leigh) Cline of Fairhaven, NB, Lawrence (Deborah) Dolan of Walpole, MA, Caroline (Michael) Parker of Lords Cove, NB and David (Bonita) Dolan of St. Stephen, NB, nine gradnchildren; Michael, Kim, Richard, Sue-Ann, William, Zachary, Candace, Shelby and Casey, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Phyllis (Joe) Murphy of Georgia and Caroline Bradford of Fairhaven, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by an infant son at birth. Prior to her retirement Marie was the Bookkeeper and Hostess for her family’s Bed and Breakfast. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed going to yard sales. Marie was well known and loved in her community, especially by the local children who used the family pool to learn how to swim. She loved people and the most important part of her life was her family and many friends.
As keeping with Marie’s wishes there will be no visitation. A service will be held from the Fairhaven United Baptist Church, Fairhaven, NB on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. In Marie’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
