Geddes, Ross Banks – 80, Hilden, passed away peacefully at the Colchester Regional Hospital at 12:00 a.m. on November 11, 2012. Born on August 3, 1932 in Meadowvale, Upper Stewiacke to the late Elven and Mary (Fulton) Geddes. Ross was a retired master heavy duty mechanic and was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Airforce and a devoted member of the RCAF 102 Wing and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26. Ross is survived by his wife, Mary (Chevalier); son Stephen (Carma McCarthy); daughters, Connie (Brian Farr) and Kim (Murphy); grandchildren, Samantha, Cory, Chelsea and Jessica, great grandchildren, Kaylee, William, Ashton, Karsyn, Braeden and Arlynn; brothers, Sinclair, Johnny (Linda) and sister-in-law, Ava. Ross is predeceased by his older brother, Roy. A Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 Tribute Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14 followed by a time of visitation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. A private burial will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke.
