TEAKLES, Warrant Officer DONALD ALLEN CD (retired) - August 2, 1949 – November 10, 2012 - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Allen Teakles CD, of Waasis, NB, loving husband of Donna (Morrison) Teakles at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by the people who loved him. Born in Sussex, NB, Donald was the son of the late Trueman and Leona (Dibblee) Teakles. Donald served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 27 years retiring with the rank of Warrant Officer. He and Donna operated a Bed and Breakfast in the Village of Gagetown for 13 years. Don was an avid woodworker and enjoyed creating new projects, a Village Councillor for 4 years, enjoyed snowshoeing, curling and coached Little Rocks. He was always there to lend a helping hand anywhere it was needed. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years Donna; daughters Candace McGee (Michael), Doralee Hovey (Chris) and Pennilee Laviolette (Mark); grandchildren Becca, Evan, Cameron and Landon; sisters Harriet Hutchinson (Donald) and Helen Young (Joe); brothers Lloyd Teakles (Ginny) and Carman Teakles (Susan); several cousins, nephews and nieces; as well as numerous sister and brother-in-laws. Predeceased by a sister Emma Hutchinson (Howard).
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday from the Rusagonis Baptist Church at 2 PM with Rev. Brent MacDonald officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The Village of Hope, 1100 Back Tracy Road, Upper Tracy NB E5L 1H7. A reception will be held in the Church hall immediately following the service. To show respect for our troops the family requests that everyone wear something red. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
