It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mamie Reader announce her sudden passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the age of 63. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband, Quentin, of 41 years; sons: Wallace Childs (Barb), Jamie Reader (Melaney) and Jason Reader (Causandra); grandchildren: Carter Childs, Cady Childs, Martin Park-Childs, Jordan Park and Landen Reader; great- grandchild: Jake Park-Childs; sisters: Janet Roberts (Ronnie), Corner Brook, Vera Joyce, Lark Harbour and Wanda Wadden (Richard), Chateauguay, Quebec; brother: Todd Childs (Tanya), Stephenville; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Wallace Childs (1980); mother, Ena Childs (2007), father-in-law: Roy Reader, mother-in-law Neatha Reader (1975) and brother-in-law: Garland Joyce. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Visitation will take place at St. Augustine Anglican Church on Hillview Avenue, Stephenville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M; and from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 22nd, at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Dawn Barrett officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
