On Friday, November 16th, 2012 with his family by his side, our dearest Frank went to heaven to be with the angels. Frank was born on the homestead farm on November 18th, 1924 to Elmer and Ethel Gummeson. At the age of 16, Frank’s dad passed away leaving him the responsibility of continuing the farm work to allow the family to remain there. Frank always felt that he became an electrician due to the fact his dad had installed a 32 volt power plant to supply the farm with its energy. Frank carried on with that inspiration to ultimately become a Journeyman electrician. On August 22nd, 1964 he married his cherished wife Loreen. Shortly after, they moved to Moose Jaw with their sons Doug and Elmer and later their daughter Caron was born. He taught electrical construction at Saskatchewan Technical Institute until retiring in 1987. Frank was predeceased by his father, mother and brothers Cecil, Earl and Ward. He is survived by his wife, Loreen; his sons, Doug (Phyllis) and Elmer (Denise); daughter, Caron (Rick); Vince, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Roy (Liz) and sister, Caron (Swede); and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was always so proud of his family and welcomed each new member with loving open arms. He loved his family and taught by example sharing his wisdom with each and every one of them from his long and well lived life. His family will continue his legacy throughout the years to come. Please come to reflect upon Frank’s life on Saturday, November 24th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Minto United Church, 1036 7th Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK. Interment will take place on Monday, November 26th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Cabri, SK with a Time of Fellowship to follow at the Cabri United Church.
