AYLES, VIOLA “VIE” ELIZABETH - Viola “Vie” E. Ayles, 84, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday November 19, 2012. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Alice Ayles. Vie was a retired LPN with over 25 years service and retired from The Moncton Hospital. She attended Coverdale United Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, cooking and was a proud member of AA since October 14, 1981. Vie enjoyed her summers at the cottage at Rayworth Beach and spending precious time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vie will be sadly missed by her children, Sharon Steeves-Clarke (late Dave) of Moncton, Fred Steeves (Cathy) of Fredericton, Peggy Hebert (Bob), Penny Steeves (Brian) and Vicki Steeves (Bob Young), all of Moncton; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Danny Compton officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.
