Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford, Ont.. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in his 74th year.
Beloved husband of 45 years to Jackie MacNeil (nee. Versluis).
Danny was born in Pipers Cove, Nova Scotia in 1939.
Predeceased by his father John Patrick MacNeil and mother Sadie MacNeil.
Loving father of Kevin and his wife Lori of Brantford, Ont., and Brian and his wife Shalom of Mt. Pleasant, Ont. Cherished ‘Papa’ of Liam, Hannah, Jordan and Abbey. Much loved brother of Margaret (Ron Maclellan), Norman (Ambrosa), Mae (Allan Maclean), Cathy (Don Collins), Michael (Carman), Joseph (Renee) and John (Kimberly). Danny will be dearly missed by his extended family, many dear friends and former colleagues at Eagle Golf.
Friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Rd., Paris, Ont., on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Prayer and Vigil Service will be held Thursday at 8:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Mike Bennett at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 17 Washington St., Paris on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at 11 a.m.
In accordance with Danny’s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral mass.
In Danny’s memory, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
