Passed away at The Agnes Pratt Home, St. John’s on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, Cyril Barry, formerly of Harbour Buffett, P. Bay. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Josephine Barry, his second parents Billie and Annie Whiffen, sister Kate and brothers: Kevin and Edward. Leaving to mourn sisters: Patricia, Ann, and Eileen (Wayne Bussey) and brothers: Eugene, Gerard and John (Sandra); brother-in-law Lew Baker; sisters-in-law: Judy and Pep; Aunt, Angela Barry and a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Cyril was one of the first three Physics Degree graduates of Memorial University and worked at the satellite tracking station in Shoe Cove, NL and then at Marconi Canada’s space program in Montreal where he worked on building the Canadarm 1. for NASA. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home in Placentia. Visitation on Friday, November 23 at 9 a.m. followed by a service at Maher’s Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery.
