It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Ina Marie King, 75, a resident of Musgrave Lane, North Sydney on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Hilda (Mombourquette) Lawrence.
She had been employed as a cashier and book keeper for a number of years. In earlier years, Ina was leader with Girl Guides and Brownies Association. While living in Ontario, she was a volunteer and a member of the board of directors of a local housing authority.
Ina is survived by her three daughters, Sandy King, North Sydney, Carol King, Charlottetown, P.E.I., Marion Pye, England; three granddaughters, Jacqueline, Julie and Ann Marie, also by one sister, Delores Lawrence, Victoria, B.C.
She was predeceased by her husband, William F. King, sisters, Angeline, Margaret, Cecilia, brothers, Roy, Ambrose, Francis, Alphonse.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., with Deacon Roy Smith, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.
