It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt at the Glace Bay Hospital on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Kit is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Gerald; daughters, Margie MacDougall, Darlene (Jack) Gibson, Geraldine (Dea) Derbyshire; sons, Timmy (Sam) Derbyshire, Dennis (Nichol) Derbyshire; two sisters, Jeanette Coffin and Linda (Walt) Penney; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Margaret Snow; brothers, Allen, Michael and great-grandson, Christopher Brown.
Cremation has taken place under the caring guidance of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A memorial service, to honour Catherine’s memory, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the palliative care or breast cancer unit.
