The death occurred, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Summerside on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, of Anne Matthew, aged 80 years. Born in Parkindale, N.B., the second youngest of 10 children, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Augusta (Douthwright) Douthwright. Left to celebrate her life are her children Brenda (Earl) Rogers; Roy Matthew; Robert Matthew; Cindy Warren; Sharon Matthew (Harry Gallant); Wendy (David) Pickrell; daughter-in-law Marie Berry; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother Gorham Douthwright; sisters-in-law Marguerite and Marj Douthwright; brother-in-law Nelson Smith; and by special friend George Curtis (Michelle Allain). Predeceased by her son Terry Matthew; brothers and sisters Marion, Callie, Alonzo, Bertha, Gladys,Arthur, Pauline and Albert; daughters-in-law Katti and Cathy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel, Sunday at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the Central Street Christian Church in the Fellowship Hall. Visiting hours Saturday from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the East Prince Home Care - Palliative Care Program would be appreciated. Due to severe allergies please refrain from wearing scents.
