Archina ‘Ena’ MacNevin, 92, of Sydney, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care.
Born in Framboise, she was the daughter of the late William and Effie (MacDonald) MacLeod.
She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Sydney.
Ena is survived by her son, William ‘Billy’ (Louise) MacSween, Sydney; grandchildren, Bobby (Edwina) MacSween, Cornwall, Ont., and Audrey (Basil) MacSween-Fudge, Deer Lake, N.L.; great-granddaughter, Amy Lynn MacSween; stepdaughters, Dorothy (Bob) Girard, Wilmot, Joan Quade, Mira, Jean Legge, Edwardsville; stepsons, Edwin (Eleanor) MacNevin, Toronto, Brian (Anna Marie) MacNevin, Point Edward, also survived by several step-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon MacSween, second husband, Rod MacNevin, sisters, Annie MacLeod, Georgie MacLeod, Hannah MacRae, Margaret Tina, Margaret Anne, Norma Currie, Mary, brother, Neil Alex, stepsons, Norman and Keith.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, from 2-5 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Lyle officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
