It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Buck Joly. He passed away surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with lung cancer.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years Jeannine, sons Roch and Max, grandsons Jory, Jared, Brody, Ethan and Elijah, sisters Solange and Yvonne and many great friends.

Buck was born and raised in St. Paul, Alberta. He married the love of his life Jeannine on August 15, 1959. He graduated from Chartered Accountant Institute of Alberta in 1970 and moved to Kamloops 1973. Buck started with Buxton and Cates which became BDO Dunwoody of which he became Managing Partner. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Jaycee, and Rotary Club. He was an active hockey fan who loved to watch his sons and grandsons play hockey. He became the treasurer of Minor Hockey and the Rivershore President/Treasurer. Upon his retirement from Accounting he filled his days golfing with his favorite partner, Jeannine.

He had many passions in his life which include golf, bridge, whistling, music, hockey and curling, but his true love was family and friends. Buck loved to make people laugh and smile. No one was safe from Buck`s teasing nature. He had great one liners and a wonderful laugh.

A special thanks to all those who made Buck's final journey comfortable: All the staff in Emergency, RIH Cancer Clinic & all the wonderful ladies at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice.

His unwavering faith allowed him peace and acceptance. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. The world is a lesser place without him.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice.
