(May 26, 1957 – December 6, 2012). Passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by the love and care of his family and friends, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Michael Edward Bearns, aged 55 years. Michael returned home to his father, Ronald Edward Bearns (1929–2009); his dear brother, Randolph William Bearns (1949–2003); and nephew, Craig Anthony Bearns (1985–1993). Michael’s unique sense of humour and capacity for love will be forever missed by his wife, Janice (Beverly) Bearns (nee Kelland) and two sons, Allan Edward William Bearns and Ronald Michael Austin Bearns (wife Lucinda). Also remembering Michael with love are his mother, Margaret Bearns (nee Alcock) and brothers Dean Bearns (Anna), Philip Bearns (Brenda) and Tony Bearns (Karen). Michael’s extended family, mother-in-law, Winnifred Kelland; sister-in-law Louise Kelland, brother-in-law Edgar Kelland (Patsy). Rosalie Haire (Gary) and Dorcas Klartoft (Poul) and best friends Bill and Elizabeth (Biz) Pearce are all celebrating the love Michael shared with them. The nieces and nephews who will carry with them Michael’s love are: Melissa, LeeAnn, Cory, Jason, Sherry, Nicole, Stephen, Bill, Lisa, Sarah, Julie, Laura and David, special nephew Mitchell and special great nephew Jack. Michael was loved by his clients for the attention, care, and love he put into his work as a wedding videographer. The family would like to express gratitude to Amanda Stacey for her loving care and attention during this period. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Saturday, December 8, 2012 and Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to take place at a later date.
