The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, of Ronald Joseph Pineau of Slemon Park and formerly of Summerside, aged 73 years. Ronald was born on Jan. 3, 1939, in Summerside, to his late parents, Peter and Rosella (nee Arsenault) Pineau. Beloved common-law husband of Marie “Colette” Arsenault. Survived by his brothers Ivan, Vernon (Marion) and Eugene, all of Summerside, Douglas of Amherst, N.S., Earl (Rickie Ann) of Kinkora and his sister Cynthia (Andrew) Duff of Stittsville, Ont. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his sisters Bernadette Gallant, Evelyn Burke, Chris Buteau and Teresa Malone. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Saturday, Dec. 15, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for a funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ronald’s memory to St. Paul’s Church Cemetery Fund, Summerside Community Connections or Summerside Meals on Wheels would be greatly appreciated.
