DEREVJANIK, Inez Piera – 82, of Treasured Memories Seniors Estate Residence in Yarmouth, passed away peacefully at Treasured Memories on December 7, 2012. Born in New York City on April 17, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Enrico and Maria (Paggoli) Mangiarotti. Inez worked at Bowne Company of New York after her husband’s passing as an administrative secretary for 11 years until she retired. After retirement she moved to Yarmouth County with her daughter and son-in-law in 1998. Inez was especially fond of dogs. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Derevjanik, Lake Annis, Yarmouth Co.; Maria (Charles “Tony”) Wood, Maryland, USA; sister, Angela (Richard) Castelli, Florida; niece, Denise (Robert) Woods, Florida. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, John Derevjanik; son-in-law, Anthony Carpentieri. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday, December 16 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8:30 p.m. A funeral mass was held Monday, December 17 at 10 a.m. from St. Ambrose Cathedral with Father John MacPherson officiated. Interment followed in Norwood Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
