We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mildred Emily Berg, December 19, 2012 at 85 years of age.

Milly grew up in the small town of Innisfree, Alberta. As a young adult, she met and married her husband Stanley. Together they moved to B.C. where they lived in various parts of the province and eventually settled in Kamloops. Mom's gardens in Brocklehurst were an extension of her gentle spirit. Her front steps and kitchen table, both in Brock and Valleyview were the gathering place for neighbours and she was the Belle of the Ball.

She loved and was loved. Her family meant the world to her and her children and grandchildren loved her dearly as she did them. Mom's extended family always enjoyed their visits and talks with 'Auntie Milly'.

Her friend Maria gave mom such strength and laughter, especially in the last season of her life.

Mom was given a cherished and unexpected gift when she met Billie at her assisted living home. The two ladies had a bond that one would not expect to develop in such a short period of time.

Mildred was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley, her son Patrick, her father and mother Annie and John Ruzycki, her brothers, Frank and Marshall, her sisters Joan, Nellie and Jessie.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother Eddie, daughters Laurie Harvey, Marlene (Jeff) Denomey, her grandchildren Brian, Christa, Dawn (Glen), Lyndsey, Danalee, Taylor-Rae, Dallas and her great grandchild Violet, as well as many relatives and friends.

Thank you to the nurses on 3 West at R.I.H. for the compassion shown to us during this difficult time. We would also like to thank everyone at Active Care Senior Services for the care and kindness shown to mom during her time with them.

There will be no service at mom's request.
