Alice Gail Coates
It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Alice Gail Coates, age 63, of Fenwick, NS. Gail passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.
Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Winston and Alice (Tingley) Fury.
Gail was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter and sister. She loved the outdoors and the beach. A good day meant time on the patio enjoying the view. She loved her family and was a wonderful caregiver to them all. During her illness she remained strong and was an inspiration to her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Donald, Fenwick, sons Darren (Tammy), Amherst and Dale (Janice), Stanley, NS; 3 grandchildren, Allison, Ashley and Dominick; 3 step-grandchildren, Justin, Travis and Alexis; four sisters, Susan (Duane) Pauley, Heather Robichaud, Vera (Mark) Strathearn and Doris Jones; six brothers, Kenneth (Sunday) Fury, Brian (Sandra) Fury, Donnie Fury, George (Donna) Fury, Winston (Marion) Fury, and Ronald Fury; a sister-in-law, Linda Fury and three brothers-in-law, Wendell Stiles, Robert Acton and Terry Bird; mother-in-law Jessie Coates, Amherst, NS; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Gail was predeceased by three sisters, Marilyn Stiles, Alma Acton and Kim Bird; two brothers, David and Keith Fury; brother-in-law, Richard Jones and a sister-in-law, Florence Fury.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2 pm. Burial will take place in the Point De Bute Cemetery in the spring.
