When link of life are broken
And loved ones have to part,
It leaves a wound that never heals
And an ever-aching heart.
When our family gets together,
There’s one we do not see.
It fills our hearts with sadness,
Thinking of how it use to be.
We talk about the old times,
And though we smile the same,
It hurts deep inside us.
When someone speaks your name.
So all we have are memories,
From which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
And we have you in our hearts.
