WILLIAM SCOTT (BILLY) WALKER

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Walker, age 53, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Billy was a son of the late William (Billy) Walker and Myrtle (Jennings) Walker of Masstown, NS. He is survived by his sons, Tyler and Glenn Walker, Mel Crawford (Mother of their sons) and his partner Gail Stott, all of Lethbridge. Also surviving him are his sisters, Mernie (Verna) Walker, Debert, Georgina MacRae, Bible Hill, Patsy (Ted) Hincks, Valley, Debbie Walker, Truro Heights, Cheryl Walker, Salmon River, Phyllis McClafferty, Valley and sister-in-law, Laurene Walker, Alton, Ontario. He was predeceased by big brother, Leonard Walker of Alton. He is also survived by many extended family members.

Billy grew up in Masstown and completed his education in Truro. In 1979 he moved to Alberta and has lived there since.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy’s memory may be made to Stars Air Ambulance, Lethbridge, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held at Masstown United Church on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow.
