It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Irene Cheetham of Kamloops, B.C. on January 5th, 2013 at the age of 85.

Doris is survived by her husband of 65 years John E. Cheetham; eldest son Ray Cheetham (Joyce) of Thompson, MB; daughter Judy Libbrecht (Ron) of Kelowna, B.C.; daughter-in-law Marianne Wilmot (Dale) of Kamloops, B.C.; brother George Alcock (Rose) of North Battleford, SK, and sister Muriel Earle of Saskatoon, SK.

Doris is also survived by her grandchildren Kari Daniels (Trent), Candi Thompson (Warren), John Cheetham (Nichole), Rachelle Davis (Darren) and Ray Cheetham (Amber), as well as her great grandchildren Matthew, William, Marik, Raelyn, Amy, Hayden, Zackery, Austin, Harper and ten nieces and nephews.

Doris is predeceased by her youngest son Ted, sister-in-law Muriel, brother-in-law Mel, daughters-in-law Flo, Sue, and her parents.

Doris was born in Sedley, SK, but was raised in Hudson Bay, SK. After graduating from high school Doris met her future husband, John. They were married and settled in The Pas, MB. Doris kept busy by raising three children and working first in the hospital and then in a medical clinic as a nursing assistant.

After retirement Doris and John relocated to Kamloops to be near family. Doris loved living in Cottonwoods Manor and cherished her many new friends. Doris and John recently celebrated their 65th Wedding anniversary with a family reunion.

Doris was a life long member of the Royal Purple both in Kamloops and The Pas, as well as being an avid fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She very much enjoyed playing cards.

Doris was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

A Celebration of Doris' life will take place sometime in the spring.
