It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Hector MacLean, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Sunday Jan. 13, 2013.
Born in Point Tupper, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Beatrice (Bishop) MacLean.
He was a veteran of the Second World War, served overseas as an air traffic controller with the Air Force.
Hector was adherent member of St. Andrew’s Church. He was a very dedicated to his work at the airport. He will be missed by his many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian (Monaghan) MacLean.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, from 1-2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Church with a service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
