With deep sadness our family wishes to announce that Ben passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

Ben was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Margie, in 2002, and by his sister Mary.

He leaves behind his children: his son Ben (Donna), daughters Dianna, and Theresa (Glenn); grandchildren James, Michelle, Benjamin, Michael, Sydney, Trevor and Tara-Lynn; seven great grandchildren, and his siblings Albert, Della, Bill and Helen.

A special thank you to Dad's girlfriend, Sharon, who through her love and caring for Dad, extended his life with joy and compassion.

Ben was a proud 55+ year member of the Anavets, Unit 26 in Vancouver and 290 in Kamloops. He was a Life Member of the Boilermakers Union in Vancouver and was a 12 year veteran of the Seaforth Highlanders.

Dad was a proud scratch golfer and loved darts and bowling in earlier years. The Westsyder Pub became his favourite hangout in recent years.

There will be no service at his request, so just raise a beer or a Dark & Dirty in his memory.

Thank you to all the girls and the gang at the Pub. We would also like to thank the nurses and doctors on 6 South for their exceptional care.

A family celebration will be held at a later date.
