Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 13, 2013, Peter John Jones Sr. of Cape Broyle, age 82 years. Predeceased by his sons, Howie and Pete, parents, Jim & Anastasia; sisters, Mary (Jack) and Roseleen; brother, Tom; parents-in-law, George & Angela Gregory; brothers-in-law, Martin Gregory, Francis Carey, Ernest Sullivan; nephew, Wade Duggan; friend, France Walsh, and other deceased members of the Jones and Gregory families. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Nellie; sons, George (Tammy), Hubert (Imelda); daughter-in-law, Colleen; precious grandchildren, Ashley (Darrell), Stefan (Emily), Marcus (Brittany); sister, Anne (Baxter); brother, Don (Virginia); sisters-in-law, Pat, Shirley (Junior), Edna (Ed), Lillian, Bernice (Jim), Goretti (Kevin), Delores (Lloyd); brother-in-law, Eric. Also leaving behind a large circle of family and friends, and his coworkers from Department of Transportation & Communication where he worked for thirty years. A special thank you to Ferryland Community Health Nurse Michelle, and his niece Dinah O’ Brien for her care and consideration during Peter’s final hours. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, Tuesday, January 15 from 3 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 16 from 2 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on Thursday, January 17 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape R.C. Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
