At Beach Grove Home on Monday, January 14, 2013, of Joseph Raymond “Ray” Peters of Charlottetown, age 84 years.
Beloved husband of Betty (nee Large). Dear father of Dianne Bell (John), Charlottetown and Joanne Peters (Michael Bowick), Oakville, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Morgan Joan, D’Arcy Ray, Laura and Rachel; by his brother and sisters, Arnold Peters (Chris), Irene Gallant, Helen Doiron, Margaret Gauthier (Francis) and Eunice Gillis (John); and by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Peters, Raymond Large (Elaine), Phyllis MacDonald, Lowell Large (Evelyn), Jean Large and Margaret Large-Collicutt.
Ray was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (nee Kelly); by his parents, Jeremiah and Ida (LeClair) Peters; by his stepdaughter, Elaine Gaudet; his brothers, Elmer (Gertie), Alban (Estelle), Clarence (Dorothy), Reginald, Jeremiah “Junior”; by his sisters, Rita Gauthier (Auspice), Clarice Buote (Ernest), Ella Mae Gallant (Alphonse), infant sister, Irene Emma, Eleanor Blacquiere (Ferdinand); and by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Gallant, Edward Doiron, Joe Kelly, Aletha Donovan (Leonard), Wendell Large, Harry Large and Roy MacDonald.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 9:45, then to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation Wednesday 3-6 p.m.
