Of St. Brendan’s, passed away at the L.A. Miller Centre on January 15, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer, James Croke, aged 70 years. Predeceased by his parents: Margaret and John Croke, and loving wife Ellen Croke (Nee Walsh). Leaving to mourn his daughter Jackie (Gord Byrne); sons: Shawn (Trudy Rockwood), Dion (Wendy), and Darryl; brother Dan Croke (Mary); brother-in-law David Walsh (Evelyn); grandchildren: Morgan and Diana Byrne, and Riley and Haley Croke; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., St. John's on Wednesday, January 16th. Visitation 7 - 9 p.m. He will be resting at St. Gabriel’s Church, St. Brendan's Thursday, January 17th evening and night. Funeral Mass will take place Friday, January 18th at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, St. Brendan’s. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Gabriel's Parish, St. Brendan’s.
