It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Osmond announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Thursday January 10, 2013 at the age of 65. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband: Patrick Organ; children: Adam Tucker (Ingrid), Fort MacMurray, AB, David Gibbons (Roxanne), St. Laurence, NL, Penny Burton (Gord), Massey Drive, NL, Nadine Hunt (Wince), Goulds, NL, Susan Hicks (Gerald), Gander, NL, & Jennifer Hicks (Myles), Gander, NL; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; step children Jamie Organ-Colbourne (Jessica), St. John’s, NL & Jeff Organ, St. John’s, NL; sisters: Alice Keats (Suley), Bemton, NL, Juanita Genge (|Raymond), Glovertown, NL, Gloria Grant (Jerry), St. John’s, NL; brothers: Jim Osmond (Sylvia), Mount Pearl, NL, Perry Osmond (Wanda), Mount Pearl, NL, Nathan Osmond, Benton, NL, Wilfred Osmond, Ontario, Fred Osmond (Nadine), Alberta as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Llewellyn & Jessie Osmond; son: Giddeon Tucker; grandchildren: Krista & Karen Hart; sister: Minnie Osmond; brothers: Melvin Osmond & Llewellyn Osmond. The funeral service was held on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban’s with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
