It is with great sadness that the family of Edlow J. Albert announce his passing at the Western Hospital, Alberton, surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 16, 2013, at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Lorraine Albert (nee Doucette). Edlow was born in St. Edward on Aug. 9, 1930, the son of the late Henry and Catherine (Gaudet) Albert. Loving father of Brenda Mae (Wade) Gavin, Anglo-Tignish ; Floyd (Roseanne) Albert, Oshawa, Ont.; Stewart (Linda) Albert, Courtice, Ont.; Darlene (Roy) Perry, Alberton; Todd (Connie) Albert, Courtice, Ont.; and Tasha Albert, Tignish. Dear grandfather to seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Joseph (Stella) Albert; Ronnie (Pauline) Albert; Carol (Owen) Gaudet; Marie (Donny) MacAusland, Stephen (Donna) Albert; Gloria Bowles; Dora (Tommy) MacKenzie; Claude (Julia) Albert; Aurella (Gerry) Dieser and Patrick Albert. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Catherine, brothers and sisters Elizabeth, Anna, Beatrice, Ivan and Roy. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Celebrant Rev. Jacques Rigaud.
