Danny was born in the beautiful town of Castelfranco, Veneto, Italy on September 6, 1931.
Son of the late Emilio and Norina Mozzocca.
Danny began his adventures and travel to Dominion, Cape Breton in 1951, where he met his bride and best friend Catherine MacNeil. They then moved to Guelph in 1956. Danny worked at the University of Guelph for 31 years. Danny passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday, January 18, 2013 in his 82nd year.
Beloved husband of Catherine M. (MacNeil) Mazzocca. Dear father of Theresa and her husband Bruce Janisse of Burlington and Dino and his wife Kelly of Winnipeg. Loved Nono of Sarah, Reed, Daphne and Kyle. Dear brother of Bianca and her husband Silvano Crosetta, Ilairo and his late wife Genoffa and Bruna and her husband Mario Liviero all of Italy.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where family will receive friends on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Danny will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St. Guelph, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery.
