It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that we, the family announce the passing of Mavis Campbell on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, Glace Bay.
Born in St. John, NB she was the daughter of the late Donald and Della (Cheeseman) Campbell.
She was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be sadly missed.
Mavis is survived by her loving sons, Sean (Linda) McCulloch, Sydney, Ian (Kim) McCulloch, North Sydney, Colin McCulloch (Shelby), Calgary; her wonderful grandchildren, Ashton, Alyssa, Jacob, Benjamin and Sophia W. Lynne. She is also survived by her brother, Doug (Marilyn) Campbell, Grand Bay Westfield, NB; sister-in-law, Fran Campbell as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Laroche; sister, Barbara Charter and brother Bob Campbell.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday January 20, 2013 from 2- 3:30 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., with a memorial service to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow. Interment to take place in Greenwood Cemetery, St. John, NB at a later date.
