MCGREGOR: Josephine Lee McGregor, age 64, of Tompkins, SK passed away January 12, 2013 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 from the Tompkins Community Hall with Reverend Eleanor Rockabar officiating. The organist was Cindy Nelson accompanied by the Tompkins Community Choir. A solo was sung by Lisa Casey. Life tribute was presented by Heather Wickstrom. The ushers were Dorothy Carlson and Pearl Campbell. The Pallbearers were Ross Lundgren, Kerry Lundgren, Blake McGregor, Ryan McGregor, Con McGregor and Doug Casey. The Interment Service will take place at a later date in the Tompkins Community Cemetery. Jo was born on October 18, 1948 in Gull Lake, SK. She attended school in Beverly and Swift Current. Jo married Clayton McGregor in Tompkins on September 30, 1967. She worked at Cypress Credit Union from 1966 until 2005, when she retired. She then went back to work in June of 2012 as a casual member representative. In early years Jo was part of the school council, skating rink board and did book for the Tomcats hockey team. She was also involved as a playground committee helper. If something needed to be done, Jo would lend a hand to help. Jo loved to read, sew and curling up in the sunshine. She loved to bonspiel earlier on and the ladies really enjoyed their curling time. Jo loved to cook and bake and help cater to events going on and truly loved to have her family surrounding her as cooked for them. Jo is survived by her husband Clayton; children Heather (David) Wickstrom, Colin (Laura) McGregor; grandchildren Alissa, Trent (Kylie), Ethan (Tanya) Wickstrom, Cody and Cassidy McGregor; great grandsons Coleman and Wyatt Wickstrom; brothers Clair (Gaylene), Terrance (Sandy) and Robin; sisters Becky and Theresa (Terry) Olson; sisters-in-law Barb Cooper and Sheryl McGregor. She was predeceased by her parents C.A and Elizabeth Cooper; mother and father-in-law Earl and Elnora McGregor; brother Ed Cooper and brother-in-law Wayne McGregor. Jo will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Tompkins Cancer Support Group or the Tompkins Playground Committee.
