MAYME AGNES LARDNER

Date de naissance : 10 mai 1915

Date de décès : 18 janvier 2013

Mayme Agnes (Collingridge) Lardner (Kiffy) passed on to her heavenly home January 18, 2013 in Kamloops, British Columbia at Royal Inland Hospital. Mayme was a spunky 97 years young.

Mayme was born in a sod shack, May 10, 1915 in Wiste on the bald headed Prairies of Alberta. She was only two pounds and was kept warm and dry in a shoe box in the warming oven heated with buffalo chips because it was the only dry place in the shack when it rained. Her parent's names were James Henry Kiff and Minnie Roseanna (McDougal) Kiff, who homesteaded in the New Brigdon area of Alberta.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Marvin Hill, sister Annie Hill, sister Pearl Hill, a younger brother James Kiff, her first husband Horace Collingridge (1997) and second husband and childhood sweetheart Albert Lardner (2009) who she married at age 90, her daughter Erna Collingridge and her great grandson Marc Pouliot.

She is survived by her daughter Mable Barrick, sons Ernie Collingridge (Marilyn), Jim Collingridge (Penny) and John Collingridge (Heather).

She has 28 grandchildren and so many great grandchildren we have difficulty counting them.

She will be missed for her wit, her charm, her amazing talent and creativity. She helped buy grain and run a grain elevator in Gunn, Alberta. She was a very hard worker. She played baseball, was a champion horseshoe player, won awards for lawn bowling, won numerous awards in the Armstrong Fair so much that they asked her to be the director of several exhibits. She worked for Woolworths and retired after 30 years.

Mayme made friends easily and loved by all who knew her. Mayme was warm, extremely generous, loving and a caring mom who tried to care for everyone. Mayme was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 61 years, a devout Christian and loved the gospel with all her heart.

We would like to thank Dr. Mavis Hollman for her endless kindness and caring.

Mayme's Funeral will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Vernon, B.C. January 26, 2013 at 11:00a.m.
