Leona Nikkel aged 92 years young, passed away peacefully at Overlander Extended Care on January 17, 2013.

She is survived by her son Allen Nikkel of Teslyn, B.C.

She is predeceased by her son Daniel Nikkel of Kamloops, daughter Viola Lampazano of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter Donna Martin of Kamloops and grandson Darren Nikkel of Kelowna.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Denise Gurney, Tanya Martin, Kenneth Martin, Michael Martin, James Martin (Edmonton), Lisa & Trevor Taylor, Tosha Moen of Kamloops, Trevor Moen of Kelowna, Naomi Mann of Smithers, B.C.

Leona loved her garden, her canning and traveling. She was an avid lawn bowler and marathon crib player, and had a wonderful sense of humor. We will miss her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Northshore Community Center, 730 Cottonwood, Kamloops, B.C. on Sunday, February 3, 2013.
