Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s on Saturday January 26, 2013. Ruby Vivian Gray (nee Courtney) aged 80 years. Predeceased by her parents: Edgar and Elsie Courtney; husband, Robert Gray; long-time partner, Herb Thorne; and brother, Allan. Leaving to mourn, her nine children: Diane(Derek Williams), Robert (Pamela), Elizabeth (Paul Sainsbury), Betty (Ed Donovan), John (Patricia), Larry (Joanne), Dave (Karen), Richard (Joan) and Debbie (Larry Samson); twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters: Betty Williams, Lorraine Normore and Louise Benson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. Cremation has taken place as per Ruby’s wishes. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
