Donald Charles Chamberlain

Donald Charles Chamberlain

Passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the age of 73, surrounded by his loving family after a 10-year battle with cancer.
Born in Saint John, N.B., son of Charlie and Lydia Chamberlain. Brother to Tudie, Muriel, Anne Marie, David and Barry. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Joan, eldest son Derrick, daughter-in-law Tina and grandsons Brent and Mark of Sarnia; daughter Brenda, son-in-law Roger and granddaughters Savanah and Brandi of London; and his youngest son, Darren, the Bud.
Truly, truly a family man, that was his life, family. He was a very respected and successful radio broadcaster around the country for more than 30 years, the latest properties with stations in London and Sarnia. Following his retirement from the broadcast industry, he ventured into the world of fast food with two popular and successful A&W restaurant locations in Sarnia. He mastered the art of the car shows on Sundays with the local “Show and Shine” and a template used around the country today. He was a master at creating the “Show” and loved every minute of it. On top of it all, he thoroughly appreciated fishing and relaxing on his own boat and his true passion shone through with the London Boat Show, marking 2013 as 30 years in business. Truly an entrepreneur! Whenever you asked him a question, his answer was always “Absolutely!”
