Sadie Mae MacAskill of North River Bridge, Victoria County, died Feb. 6, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born March 25, 1949, at Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Jim MacAskill and Dolena (MacLeod) MacAskill.
She is survived by two brothers, Lloyd (Delores) and Mel, both of North River; four sisters, Rachael Burbine, Tarbot, Stella Horton, Christie MacAskill, Edna (Leonard) Smith, all of Baddeck; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Molly MacSween, Sydney, brothers-in-law, Clarence MacSween and Ralph Burbine.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck.
By family request there will be no visitation, and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
