Gordon MacDonald died on February 5, 2013 at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver at the age of 85.

Predeceased by wife Terry in 1999, he is survived by daughter Carol Bryan (Len), son Craig MacDonald (Vicky) and grandchildren Sarah and Alexandra.

Born in Vancouver, he lived in Ocean Falls, Vernon, and later Kamloops where he worked for CP Rail until retiring at age 60 after 37 years' service. He shared a love for Labrador Retrievers, the outdoors, and hunting, with his lifelong friends Roy McNutt and Graeme Hanes. In later years, he loved to talk about his newest dog, " Rocko the Chihuahua" who may not have been a Labrador, but certainly was Top Dog in his eyes. Gordon was fortunate to have wonderful neighbours all around him who provided him with unlimited support and friendship over the years.

Special thanks to Barb and Merrick Morrill and the Kobayashi family for their ongoing support to the MacDonald household. Active until recent health issues, Gordon was still driving and attending his favourite Pensioner's luncheons. He appreciated good food, good company, and certainly, good conversation. Gordon was a devoted father, grandfather, and ardent dog lover right up to the end.

Service to be held at Kamloops Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.

No flowers please, donations to the S.P.C.A. and Kamloops Food Bank welcome. Gordon was fond of donating non-perishable goods to the food bank, if you like bring a couple of items to the service in his honour for donation.
