The death occurred unexpectedly at Geneva Villa, Charlottetown, on Friday, February 8, 2013, of Marguerite ‘Meg’ Stanley, beloved wife of the late Dr. John Stanley, age 86.
Meg was the loving mother of Patrick (Helen), Alan (Cathy Muldoon) and Robert; and adoring grandmother of Aine, Aidan and Sean Stanley; and Lionel and Niall Stanley and Marguerite ‘Maggie’ Tipping; and great-grandmother of Wilder. She is also survived by her sisters, Elanor Jarrett and Elspeth Rhodin; and brother, Alan Lindsay.
Meg was predeceased by her parents, Lionel and Dorothy (Macphail) Lindsay; and her brothers, Robin and Jeffrey Lindsay.
Meg was a favourite granddaughter of Sir Andrew Macphail.
No visitation by personal request. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced later. A private interment will take place beside her husband in St. Martin’s Cemetery, Cumberland.
