It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, Nana, friend, neighbor, colleague, sister, daughter, Patricia Ann Wainman. Nana passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on the morning of Feb. 1, 2013.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Glenn; daughters, Nicole (David), Janet (Gabe), Karen (Andrew) and grandchildren, Olivia, Emmy, Bella, Lilly, Claire and Samuel.
Predeceased by her mother, Claire, she is also survived by her father, Jody; brothers, Donnie, Billy; sister, Maureen and many nieces and nephews.
Born in New Waterford, Pat(sy) was a nurse for many years at the Fairfield Health Centre and continued on nursing for 10 years at the Victoria Hospice Society. She and Glenn loved travelling to see their grandchildren in Southern California, Washington and Vancouver as well as extended family in Nova Scotia. Nana loved to go camping, read, garden, thrift shop, and go for lunch with friends in Sidney.
A Celebration of Nana's Life was held on, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victoria Hospice Society, in honour of Nana.
