AINSLIE, Wanda Elizabeth - 64, Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on November 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Embert and Bertha (Weatherbee) Lake. Wanda always had an open door and was a mother figure to the neighbourhood children. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she enjoyed spending many hours with them. Wanda enjoyed playing 45’s with Hedley, Ruth and Roscoe, yahtzee with Ruth, Amanda and Barb and bingo with Leah. She also enjoyed going for coffee and trips to Walmart with Pam. Wanda is survived by her husband, Hedley; son, Wade (Susie Spence), Martock; daughter, Jacky (Trevor) Rolfe, Windsor Forks; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gabrielle “Gabby” and Gavin; sister, Leah (Raymond) Carson, Windsor. She was predeceased by brother, Gary (Becky) Lake. The family would like to say special thanks to Doctors Kazimirski and Matheson; Bev Lyttle, Kevin Mason and the Palliative Care Nurses of Unit 200; her best friend Pam for being there and helping out along the way. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). An open house celebration was held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, February 16 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Hants County Branch No. 009, Empire Lane, Windsor. Private interment will be held at a later date in Centre Falmouth Cemetery.
