The death occurred at his late residence on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, of Carl Vernon Paynter of 422 Highland Ave., Summerside, and formerly of Springfield, aged 62 years. Born in Summerside on June 27, 1950, son of Jean (Stavert) Paynter, Springfield, and the late Vernon H. Paynter. Brother of Wanda (Joe) Ferguson, Hampton; Velda Paynter, Penetang, Ont.; Garth Paynter, Charlottetown; Marsha Paynter, Summerside; and Darren Paynter (Lisa Waite), Margate. Uncle to Paul (Stacey) Ferguson, Traci (Stan) Millar, Terri Ferguson (Trevor Carroll), Shawn (Jacinthe) Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Charmaine Paynter, Nicole (Matt) Robillard, Katlyn Paynter and Ryan Paynter. Nephew of Edythe (James) Brown, Pearl (Elmer) Cannon, Ruth Mountain, Olive Jollimore, Leota (Keith) Dykeman, Lois (Bill) Daley, Gladys Stavert and Velma Paynter. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday from 12 to 1:45 p.m., immediately followed by funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Kensington People’s Cemetery.
