Mary (McDougall) Mullins

Mary (McDougall) Mullins

Date de naissance : 25 août 1928

Date de décès : 19 février 2013

Mary Mullins had a passion for life. A mother so giving, caring and loving to her nine children, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a mother to all that knew and loved her, an ear to talk to, a shoulder to cry on and a hand to help you up.
Mary had a solution to every problem, her door was always open and she always made a place for you to lay your head. She loved to travel and “she’s been everywhere man”. She was a vibrant, strong and determined woman.
In the past two years, Mary fought long and hard to conquer her cancer with the dedicated love and support from all her family. All nine children worshipped the ground she walked on and called her “Queen Mother Mary, the greatest Mother in the world!” She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Mary will be greatly missed by everyone, especially her children, Mary Curran (Al Ramsay), John (Ronnie), Kevin, Patricia (Paul Chan), Sandra Gilbert, Jenice (Lucio Barci), Edward (Jane) and Mark (Lucy).
A devoted wife, predeceased by her husband Lawrence (Larry) Mullins, (November 17, 1919-August 5, 2005).
A kind, smart and thoughtful Mother, predeceased by her son, Larry Edward Mullins (Theresa), who passed away from his struggles with cancer at age 64, on February 2, 2013.
Mary will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband Larry at Prospect Cemetery in Toronto.
Mary was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and although she raised her children in Toronto, and travelled the world, Cape Breton was always in her heart. Mary was proud to call Cape Breton home, and insisted that Cape Breton was the most beautiful place on Earth.
Words of comfort may be forwarded to Jenice (Mullins) Barci at lbarci@rogers.com.
